Laurus Nobilis Laurel Bay Tree has an extensive history throughout europe, made most popular by the romans who used wreaths of laurel as a head adornment signifying victory in sports, politics, poetry and war. Many a bust of a roman emperor features the signature wreath around the head. Even the berries had significance where priestesses would chew the berries before handing our prophecies, and keeping berries under pillows was believed to result in dreams of future events The foliage is a dark green colour with a distinct aroma and can be trimmed to form a neat columnar or cone shaped topiary tree.
This particular specimen is grown as a standard.
